The Custom Solutions by Euro Technologies ultimately meet customers’ requirements when it comes to Custom Solutions for their products.
The Custom Solutions proposed can be divided into 7 large categories: Cutting; Adhesive taping; Mechanical Fixing; Nickel, Zinc, Tin, Silver and Gold plating Galvanic Surface Treatment; Heat Treatment for Enhanced Spring Effects for Copper-Beryllium Components; Injection and/or compression moulding and Dispensing.
The Cutting is performed in various ways, depending on the final need; it can be: manual, with in-house designed automatic profile cutters for fabric over foam gaskets and profiles, and with shearing dies dedicated to the cutting of finger stocks. This category includes Die Cutting – mainly used for rubber-based materials – Water Jet Cutting – performed by means of a very high pressure jet -, Oscillating Knife Cutting (plotter) – whereby a high-frequency vibrating blade cuts following with precision the design loaded into a computer- and Photo Etching and Hand Forming – a cutting technique which uses the corrosive action of special acids.
Adhesive Taping is a technique which uses conductive or non-conductive double-sided adhesive tapes to make surfaces adhesive.
Two interesting Custom Solutions offered by Euro Technologies are Nickel, Zinc, Tin, Silver and Gold plating Galvanic Surface Treatment, which deposits a layer of the material required on an object, thus guaranteeing compatibility between metals of different nature and making it more resistant to oxidation and deterioration at the same time, and Heat Treatment for Enhanced Spring Effects for Copper-Beryllium Components, which takes place in an oven in a Nitrogen/Hydrogen controlled atmosphere.
Injection Moulding is done by a machine which injects fluid material into a mould; after cooling, the material retains the set shape. Compression Moulding is about moulding rubber elements using non-vulcanised materials. In practical terms, some paste-like rubber is placed inside a mould and there it expands, filling the mould; the pressure-locked mould is then heated to the “vulcanisation” temperature specific for the material to be cast. In this way, the rubber obtains typical characteristics and retains the shape set by the mould.
Finally, it is essential to mention Dispensing, which is about laying a gasket of electrically- conductive material into a preset slot or path using computer-driven machinery. The dispensed material is a silver metal particle-loaded silicone compound. The sizes of the finished gasket are controlled through dispensing speed and the size of the nozzles. The material employed is “RTV” (room temperature vulcanised) silicone similar to the material used in compression moulding but characterised by “cold” vulcanisation, thus heating is not needed.
The Custom Solutions proposed by Euro Technologies draw from extensive research as well as the utmost attention given by the Company to meet customers’ various requirements.
