Thermal Phase Change Materials combine the consistency and ease of use of elastomeric pads with the low thermal impedance proper to thermal-conductive grease. Moreover, Thermal Phase Change Materials prove to be an excellent solution to critical thermal interface applications.
Above melting temperatures – i.e. 50-52 °C – Thermal Phase Change Materials soften and become fluid, filling the microscopic irregularities of the components they come into contact with; the result is a very thin interface with minimal thermal contact resistance.
Thermal Phase Change Materials can best replace the use of grease; they are available as individual die-cut parts, cut parts, as well as in rolls or sheets.
