Euro Technologies offers a wide range of HF-shielded windows for EMI-shielding. These are characterized for excellent shielding performance, highly visual quality, best scratching restistance for glass as well as good IP-protection when accordingly choosing a convenient EMI-gasket.
HF-shielded windows are usual made of one or several backing materials and an electrical conductive interlayer made of micro-fine metal mesh for EMI-shielding. They can be used for all visual signalling instruments and in general for electric- or electronic housings. Generally they are used for all kinds of electric displays, for example LED- or LCD displays.
Conditional to the variety of the individual application possibilities these HF-shielded windows we are offer will always be produced customer-specific. Of course Euro Technologies will support and advice their customers at the development and implementation of these shielded windows.
Depending on the application we are offering different window materials such as glass, acrylic, polyvinyl chloride (“PVC”) or polycarbonate. The base colour of all window materials is clear. If the customer needs an inking or colouring for his specific application this would also be possible to do. At glass the adhesive film will be dyed, at plastic windows already dyed material will be used. It must be pointed out that a dying of the windows is changing the light transmission of the HF-shielded windows.
An antireflection coating of the named materials is also possible, if favoured by the customer. Depending on the material type this will be realized either with a specific surface glaze or with a chemical surface etching.
The electrical conductive interlayer of very fine metal mesh is made out of stainless steel, silvered stainless steel or copper (depending on the favoured EMV-shielding as well as the required light transmission). The meshes usually will be blackened which results in a better contrast. To prevent from disruptive interferences (“Moiré-effect”) between the mesh grade and the advice or monitor the inlay angle of the mesh inside the window will be adjusted.
The construction, composition and size of these HF-shielded windows are always based on specific allowances of the customer. For example it is possible to fulfil the window as step construction or as level and plain edge construction. The possible minimum and maximum dimensions of such a shielded window are masking a very large sector and have always to be checked and tested in every individual case. Also the choice of the required EMI-gasket for contacting the window to the housing is always application specific and has to be decided by the customer.
Because of our large experience and know-how in the area of HF-shielded windows, Euro Technologies is able to support their customers henceforward choosing an EMI-window and to find the best technical and economic solution for the customer.
